Artists Statement

Adaptability is very important to me as an artist; mediums, platforms or formats its all the same to me when working with art and design. One of the great things about living in times like these as an artist is enjoying what technology has to offer, utilizing traditional methods of design, painting and illustration to influence and enhance my work.

Having the ability to create is magic in any sense, thinking up ideas, making preparations and researching is my obsession. No one can argue that the world we live in has design in its creation, everything works in perfect unison with everything else around it. My only hope is to contribute to that overall design, enhancing it by providing visual appeal, yet providing meaningful solutions to the very foundation of its overall purpose.
The influences in my life have come from everything around me that I have taken an interest in; reading graphic novels, watching film, researching design, creating art, communicating through digital media and learning about our discoveries and breakthroughs in both science and technology. I enjoy working with people that share in those same interests at any given level, if the chance is given to work on a project that allows me to leave my unique approach then it becomes rewarding.
Studying multimedia design in college was interesting, it provided me new methods of looking at how art and design could be expressed with todays technology, after that I went back again and studied fine art to give me the traditional creativity that I needed and the fundamental rules of proper design.
